Lindsay Heinz
Lindsay Heinz is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse working as an outreach clinician in Vernon. Professionally, she is supporting youth who use substances in a client-centred capacity, advocating for appropriate care from various service providers and ensuring connection to a care team that meets their needs.
Prior to becoming a nurse, Lindsay has worked in various support worker capacities, including working with those with a developmental disability, a brain injury, and those involved in the criminal justice system.
Trauma-informed care is paramount to her professional practice, as everyone who enters the healthcare system has some experience with a trauma history. Lindsay strives to provide a safe and supportive environment for all individuals to share their struggles, as well as their hopes and dreams. Practising from a non-judgemental, compassionate approach, Lindsay hopes to create a space for individuals to be curious about their future, and to grow and achieve their goals.
In her free time, she can be found in or on the lake, crocheting, reading, or spending time with dogs and goats.
