The Red Dot Players are excited to present The Haunting of Hill House, a psychological horror story about an investigator of supernatural phenomena who arrives at Hill House to unravel its morbid history. The play is written by F. Andrew Leslie and based on the novel by Shirley Jackson. The performance is directed by faculty member Sarah Foss.
"I was drawn to the Shirley Jackson classic because although this gothic ghost story was penned in 1959, its narrative still speaks to our deepest fears and most profound emotions,” said Foss "At its core, The Haunting of Hill House is a journey through the labyrinth of a young woman's grief and trauma, expertly entwined with the supernatural. By combining the chilling atmosphere of Hill House and the complexities of the human psyche, this classic tale reminds us that our inner ghosts and haunted memories can be as formidable as any supernatural apparition.”
